Hope. Love. Home.

I didn’t know what a “home” was. I knew hot sidewalks, empty bowls, and running when things got loud.

Then she found me.

Before we met, there was her beginning. When my human Mom was 7 years old, cancer took her mother. Animals carried her through. Within their presence she felt belonging and unconditional love.

In 2023 that old feeling tapped her shouldergo help the ones who helped you. She listened and convinced my human Dad that she needed another. She searched the Arizona Small Dog Rescue website, and there I was — street-tough, scared and trying to disappear.

Learning “home” took time. Doors opened without pushing me out. There were tears, a few messes and a lot of patience. Then came firsts: first real wag, first sleep with both eyes shut, first zoomies filled with joy. She named me Bodhi— which means awakening—and I chose trust.

As calm returned, I became her emotional support animal—not only warmth at her side, but the anchor she leans on when the mind runs.

This page keeps the light on for others. Here to share my wins and stumbles and the things that helped me settle. And we’re paying it forward: 10% of every purchase supports AZSDR.
